Glenn panicked, wasn't Doctor Losyl saying
something about stopping...? Glenn thought for a moment, then suddenly
it hit him.

Hold on!

There
was a wheel-like lever on the side of the ship that was held in place
by a chain blocking it. Glenn pulled the chain and suddenly the lever
spun in a circular motion until the boat seemingly rocked in place as
the anchor cemented it in place.

Glenn sighed in relief.
Near the anchor was a rope that Glenn was able to throw to Quint.

Quint saw the massive anchor (which he failed to notice before,
strangely...), and a sense of relief washed over him...or was that the
small ave that just passed by? Either way, Quint began swimming slowly
towards the rope Glenn had let fall loose over the edge for him to grab.

Once
he got to the top he pulled himself over and fell flat on his back on
the deck. Suddenly, he noticed how cold the sea water was...

"...Good GODS, that's cold..."
Quint said aloud as he got himself up to then thank Glenn for stopping
the boat. He looked at the big chain that the anchor was attached.

"Wow..hate to be the guy who has to pull
THAT up..."
Quint chuckled, as he made his way back down to
Lilah's cabin to leave Glenn and the others standing on the deck.

"Donovan, I figured you were dead," Sereph said, not appearing to move
or watch his old friend walk up to him. An interesting side effect of
his now pure black scales was the lack of definition his pupilless black
eyes had, especially with his back to the sun as it was now. Reaching
up to take the flask as it was offered, the zora took a swig before
returning it.

"Business, you say. I don't suppose you mean
business of the financial kind, as I've left my wallet at the desert.
If, however, you mean business of a less tangible nature, I've little
else to do and wish to pass this trip as quickly as possible, so by all
means, discuss." As he spoke the boat shook mightily twice. The zora
stood, ignoring the events around him and waiting for Donovan to lead
the way to their discussion.

Glenn sighed as he neared the lever as he
began tugging it and winding it as the Anchor rose slowly to the top.
After it finally was up, Glenn collapsed upon the deck. The air was
heavy, and thus he felt severely weakened compared to what he could
normally do.

He sighed, attempting to catch his breath. A lot of
the air was filled with salt, which was a big change for Glenn.

W...Wait! Who's steering!?

Glenn
immediately got up to his feet, running up the stairs to the wheel
which was drifting carelessly side-to-side. He grabbed onto it, and
realized immediately that he had no idea what to do... He sighed, and
prayed to the goddesses that they would all safely get through the
voyage.

Re: Fate in the Haze

Quint slowly opened the door, still soaking wet from being booted into
the water. An awkward silence was in the air as Quint and Lilah simply
looked at each other. Neither one said anything for about five minutes
until Quint took a couple steps forward and opened is mouth to explain
like he wanted to, however Lilah stopped him from doing so by placing
her index finger vertically on his lips.

"Shh...you don't
have to explain anything..."
Lilah quietly whispered,
as she placed her lips on Quint's, as they both closed their eyes. She
wrapped her arms around his neck as he held her waist.

"...Guys?...GUYS?...HELLO? STILL HERE!"
Hob shouted at the top of his high pitched fairy voice, causing the
lovers to pull their heads back and blush. Hob read Quint's mind, and he
took the hint that he wanted him to leave for a moment.

"Fine...I'll go find someone else to
bother..."
Hob said aloud, as he flew off out the window
up onto the deck to see who to bug.

"You
know...my fairy had a point earlier...aren't we going a little fast
considering how long we've known each other?"
Quint asked as
he admired himself in Lilah's reflective blue eyes.

"Quint as stupid as this may sound, it is
possible for to have love at first sight. And it is possible for both
lovers to have that same feeling. Now common sense, if what we had was
gonna be a one time thing, you wouldn't have chased after me would you?

Lilah answered in a soft voice, as she let go of Quint and sat down on
the edge of the bed.

"Now enough of
that, there's something I need to tell you that I fear might actually
put everyone on this ship in danger..."
Quint chuckled
at this. He clearly doubted that something could put the people on this
ship in danger, considering who the people were. They had a 9 foot tall
Goron who, despite his rockyness, wasn't thick headed, and who Quint
helped to take down a perverted potion maker who believed himself more
powerful than the Dark Lord Ganondorf himself. And of course, that same
Goron, and Glenn, the cause of this voyage, had helped Quint take down
Naraku, the invincible demonic Gerudo who had slaughtered nearly all of
Quint's family.

If the members of this crew could perform feats
like that, Quint had every reason to doubt Lilah's words, however
continued to listen quietly.

"If
you haven't figured it out yet from how I look and that I was planning
on hiding away on your friends ship, I'm a pirate. Or at least I was. I
have no memory of my childhood, now most of my life for that matter, all
I remember at all is being a pirate. The captain treated me like I was
his own daughter. However, a month or so ago, the crew, lead by the
captains right hand, mutinied against him, and forced him to walk the
plank, to be viciously torn apart by Gyorgs. His right hand, who went by
the name of Robert, took the recently open position of captain. he...he
tried to have his way with me not to soon after that, however I managed
to escape....and, well here I am. I soon found out he was tracking me
down, as I repeatedly came across members of the crew. No doubt, he'll
have tracked me here, and will probably catch up with us sometime so-"

Both Gerudo and Hylian grabbed onto something to steady themselves
after the ship rumbled after a loud bang was heard.

Lilahs
terrified wide eyes looked at Quint.

"He's
found me..."

------

Captain Robert strolled
down the deck furiously towards his quartermaster.

"Who just fired the cannon?! I ordered no
cannons to be fired until I have reasoned with the foolhardy captain of
that vessel to hand Lilah over to us! Give me the megaphone you
scallywag!"
The captain roared, his bushy black beard shaking
as he grabbed a hold of the metal megaphone from the quartermaster with
his only hand that hadn't been replaced with a metal hook. He took a
couple steps to the side of the ship as he faced the large vessel and
held the megaphone to his dirty lips.

"Yaarr haar you
mangy dogs! I have been tracking a woman who is of my possession, and
she has got herself upon your ship! Hand her over or be sunk and sent to
Din's fiery locker! What say ye? Are ye man, or Gyorg bait?"

Any
member of Glenns crew would be laughing at the foolhardy pirates
demands, however he had perfect reason to considering the massive ship
he sailed. Granted, it most likely isn't magical like Glenn's, however
it was far more larger on the outside than his, towering sails with
members of the crew all holding onto ropes ready to swing on over and
about 16 openings in the side with cannons poised ready to fire at will.

The
crew, though hard to see from Glenn's boat, were of mixed origins, some
Gerudo, some Hylian, some even Zora, others from unknown places.

"Well?"

------

Hob
floated about the deck, uninterested in everybody who was available to
be annoyed. When the boat had been hit, he hadn't even noticed, though,
that's probably because he's hovering in the air. However when he
noticed the large boat...he couldn't help but...sense something.
Something was strange about that ship opposite this one, however it
wasn't the ship itself, but something inside it...

He flew past
everybody, ignored the ranting and ravings of the dirty Captain and
skimmed through a small hole in the side of the ship. It was a presence
he had sensed, one similar to the one he sensed back on the other ship
due to Vess' fairy.

Hob found himself in a small cabin full of
box's and such, with a pirate standing guard at the door, with his back
to the room. Then he noticed what he was looking for. In the corner of
the cabin, he saw a golden glow...

He hovered over and came upon
another fairy, though, stuck in side a bottle with a cork. People these
days...

"Why hello there miss.
Not often you find a fairy as cute as yourself living in a glassy
home..."
Hob said with a sarcastic tone in his voice.

Re: Fate in the Haze

Life inside a bottle. Not nearly as interesting as others may have made
it seem. Tapping the walls of the small room inside it had gotten her
bored after the first few minutes and every time she tried to find some
kind of amusement for herself to keep the last bit of her sanity would
only result in her guard knocking her bottle over again and again. He
was probably sadistic, deep in his tiny heart.

I swear... That
guy's got some serious issues...

That was the thought that
circled in her head each time she tumbled over in the tiny space that
was her temporary home - the bottle.

All of a sudden, the boring
journey had taken a strange turn. The crew members had started moving
around the ship and she could faintly catch up on the sound of a cannon
being fired. Amazingly enough, the bottle did not tip over on its own
even though the ship shook after the fire. She groaned loudly in
complaint and sunk to the bottom of the bottle, fluttering her wings in
frustration. There was something going on and she couldn't be there to
see it. Wasn't this just splendid?

Then, something that ticked
her off even more... A voice.

"Shut
up. Don't need anyone to tell me something I'm already well aware of."

she says, lifting from the floor of the bottle and taking a quick turn
around to locate the source of the voice. Another fairy...

Her
glow flickered just a little bit. Great. Just great.

"Huh..."

Glenn chuckled at the sight of the supposed
pirates. He looked around the deck, eying several bored individuals and
stepped forward.

There are two
females on this boat, not including magical creatures, and I do not
intend to give any of them up.

Glenn pointed his
blade at the pirate.

As he reached the flight of stairs that would
take him to the deck, he stopped and listened.

"If you want them, go through me first!"

Donovan
could feel a grin stretching across his face. He turned to Sereph and
gestured a query. Sereph nodded his agreement, and with that Donovan ran
up the stairs and burst onto the deck.

"But if you want HIM,
you'll have to go through me!" Donovan shouted, pulling out his golden
hilted sword and running aggressively across the deck in the direction
of the pirate's ship. He took a running leap onto and over the railing
and, with a huge grin on his face, he dove directly between the berth of
the two parallel ships. Hitting the water with a minimal splash,
Donovan swam swiftly downward and seemingly leaving his acquaintances on
the magical boat to their own devices. At least, for the time being.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Following
close behind, Sereph emerged from the hold, Draa catching the sun and
gleaming the way only a zoran crafted weapon can. Without a word on his
lips, he jumped onto the rail opposite their opponents, breaking the
weapon into two equal length short spears and taking an aggressive
stance, glaring at the bushy bearded Robert. With only a moments
hesitation, the zora tipped over into the salty waters beneath,
disappearing into the surf.

Re: Fate in the Haze

Glenn eyed a wooden structure with a boat
sitting within a gap. On the side opposite of the boat was another gap.
Glenn attempted to steer towards the gap in hopes of the boat resting
there. Soon after realizing he had no way to stop, he ran down to the
anchor. As he unwound it, the wheel began swaying back and forth, and
before he knew it they had crashed through the wooden structure and
rammed into the other boat before the ship finally ended up on the sand
that was previously below the wooden dock.

As they had crashed,
Glenn was tossed off the boat and onto the sands. Most everyone that had
been on the boat and standing on the wooden structure had scattered off
into the plains.

Huh. Well,
atleast the boat isn't going anywhere.

Glenn
analyzed the side of the ship. It had been battered constantly since
they had engaged the pirates. Pieces of wood had been chipped away from
the outside, and at that rate, it was going to sink if they took more
damage. They would need wood to repair the ship, and lots of it. Glenn
looked to the north, there was a towering wall with a drawbridge down.

Hey! Everyone! I'm gonna head to that city and
find out about this place. We should take this opportunity to explore! I
mean, it's not like we need anyone to watch the boat, the thing is
grounded.
